It was a momentous occasion for my family. I am the youngest of five children and ever since I was little, we have not been able to get all five of us together. It has to have been over 15 years. But fortunately, with Hunny and I coming stateside for a bit, everyone was able to come together. And to make the most of this opportunity, we got Family Pictures made!! It was almost the center of the visit, but we did do other things; Dinners out and such, swapping stories and reminiscing.

My favorite day had to be at the beach. It is kind of funny because none of us are really into the beach. I just recently discovered how much I love it so I was excited. We got there and pitched camp and I ran full force into the water! There were four siblings, two spouses, eight nieces and nephews, and Motherdear. It was ten times more fun with all the children. Especially my oldest sibling's three boys. I could not get over how wonderful they were with the little ones. Each one was playing well with everyone else, offering swim toys, and just having a great time together.

I have always been super nervous about having my own children, but between stealing the youngest (just turned one) and playing with everyone, I was excited to have my own and take them everywhere and play and have them be as friendly and wonderful as those boys. Remind me to ask their mother what in the world she did/does! I could've stayed the rest of the day there! And I even told Hunny we had to go back at least two more times before we leave the states again. And as of right now he still owes us one more trip. We were there most of the day and everyone got burned. Oh man, for days we were babying the burns hoping they didn't peel. The inevitable eventually happened; but man, I don't think any of us regretted it at all. It was such a wonderful and fun day at the beach!

For family pictures, we had it more or less planned out. We knew we wanted one with everyone in white shirt and jeans, and then others with each family in their own color. I say more or less because the night before the pictures we all run to Burke's in search for our colored shirts. We were all yelling across the store asking each other "What about this one?!" "Eh.. I like the other one." "Oh here, I found this one for you!" I was cracking up! But somehow we all found shirts and I would say looked pretty good. But, I do think that mine and Hunny's turned out the best. We got stuck with Orange but we pulled it off so well! MMMmm!! I love it just thinking about them. I'm glad we could get more pictures of us together. We got the same photographer that we used for our engagement and wedding photos, because she is SO awesome! And it was like doing engagement photos again. Still happy and so in love and flaunting it for the camera. She is so great to work with. And her photos turn out marvelous. I highly highly
recommend her to everyone in the deep Southeastern region. She does weddings, senior portraits, family, and events, and probably anything else you need. She's got ya looking GREAT!
What a fun time it was to get together and learn more about one another and have a grand time together. I hope we can do it again every so often. When we get back stateside it will be easier. Just one more year, and who knows!
I can't wait to see some of the family pictures! I hope you get to post one or two online. xo
