Wedding Bells

As you may or may not have heard, Hunny's brother recently got married. I had the wonderful opportunity to be a bridesmaid and attend the ceremony. It was an exciting time. I got to help decorate and got an adorable dress. It was fun getting to spend time with family as well. Starchild was a huge help. I was impressed and watched her and took some notes. Even though she may be a little scatter brained at times, she is always so helpful and happy and tries her best to help in any way she can.

The day of the ceremony we all met at the Sacramento temple. This was my first time attending a sealing since my own. I was excited and when the bride walked in she was gorgeous! I was impressed that she did her own hair and make up. It looked great! It was a beautiful ceremony and so great to be surrounded by family and loved ones. It was sad not having my Hunny there though. Seeing and remembering our sealing made me miss him and want to treat him better. One thing I liked that was said in the ceremony was that we will not be asked by Christ so much how we treated our friends, but how we treated our spouse. I know I could always treat him better and plan to do so when we reunite.

After the ceremony we got to hug the new couple and congratulate them. So now there are 5 wives; and I am no longer the youngest... I'm still getting used to it... Then we waited, and when they came out we took lots of pictures. Again, another stinging reminder that my Hunny was not there.
Thankfully there are plenty of brothers there to make me feel better. Lost Boy, Hunny's fungible (evil) twin, even stood in for him for the family picture. One classic picture is for the brothers to lift the new wife. We bridesmaids couldn't let the groom go that easy, so we all lined up and held him sideways too. Yeah, I know, we are awesome!

Lots and lots of pictures later, we were released to go. A nice break before going to finish decorating for the reception. And I have to admit, it looked Great! My favorite was the teamwork in making the chandelier. It was my idea, from Pinterest, Mom's idea to make it 3 tiered and Papa put it together. Oh yeah, it looked Fantastic!!! I'm sure the reception was fun, I was too focused on the chocolate fountain. Pretty sure I went up to it 3 times... Oh yeah, I think I recall the bouquet and garter toss. But there was also the fun kids' version, the candy toss. And there was some dancing. I know I had a good time! The best man did a fabulous job picking out the music for each event. And decorating the getaway car... that ended up being plastic wrapped... Oh you guys... But they eventually got into it and got away. What a fun filled day. It was quite long and happy and we are all excited for this new adventure and step in their life together. I am glad that I got to be a part of it.
