This year the theme was BOOT camp. Building Our Own Testimonies. I loved it! I got to be a General. :) We all got dog tags and went through Enlistment, briefed for our mission, and all sorts of training. Each day was focused on different steps to gaining a testimony. First you must have the desire (Tuesday), then ask (Wednesday), try/experiment (Thursday), and share (Friday). Thursday was also the hike and half way we had a great devotional about prayer. There were two members of other churches there and one gave the closing prayer. There is something about a Baptists prayer, I love the relationship with the Lord and the sincerity or their acknowledging and asking. They are beautiful. It was very touching. We can all learn from each other.Hunny was able to stay with us during the evenings between work. He was asked to provide priesthood leadership when he could. Thursday was also his birthday and the leaders got everyone cupcakes and we sang for him. :) I was glad he was able to help out too.
I got to meet a lot of new girls and leaders. I also learned a lot from the devotionals and testimonies. Friday was testimony meeting. Almost everyone went up. It was around a camp fire. It was beautiful. I had asked before, "Besides testimony meeting, what is your favorite part of Girl's Camp?" I know everyone always says it but I haven't felt like that, but this year was different. I LOVED testimony meeting. I was glad I got to know all the girls and feel of their spirit and hear their testimonies.
I am grateful to the leaders in their planning and participation. I am grateful I got to attend and have a fantastic time. But most of all I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and the knowledge I have of the Plan of Salvation and knowing that I am loved by my Father in heaven who is more than ready to bless me and answer my prayers if I will just ask.

Yay for Girls Camp! I love Girls Camp. It's really neat that Hunny got to go.
