Picnic at the temple

Seoul Korea Temple

 A marvelous day for a picnic! And what better place to have one then on the lawn at the temple!

This morning Bee and I helped out with a bake sale to raise money for our company FRG (Family Readiness Group). We were going to go to the temple afterward to do a session but because we stayed longer at the sale than anticipated we did not have enough time to do a session at the temple before having to go babysit for a family in our church. Still wanting to go to the temple, and not having had lunch yet we decided to throw a picnic- it being such a BEAUTIFUL day out!

We packed some sandwiches, a yogurt, some chips, pretzels, and drinks into a lunch box; grabbed a blanket to sit on and head out to the temple. What a blessing to be able to sit on the temple grounds and eat a late lunch. The temple really is a holy place. Even if you can not go in, just being near the temple and seeing it brings peace and comfort.

We had a little bit of time after eating before we had to leave to go babysit so we laid down on the blanket and rested, soaking up the beautiful experience for a while before packing up and leaving.
